The campus network is free for all students, faculty and staff in teaching and office areas. In dormitory areas, the network is a paid service under university regulations.

Fee Standard and Basis

• Fee item: Dormitory-area network usage fee
• Fee standard: 20 RMB per billing cycle
• Basis: 《武汉理工大学校园网管理规定》 (Campus Network Management Regulations of Wuhan University of Technology, 校办字〔2015〕7号) and 《武汉理工大学校园网用户管理办法》 (Campus Network User Management Measures of Wuhan University of Technology, 校办字〔2015〕6号), both approved at the 1st President's Office Meeting of 2015.

Billing Rules

Under university regulations, the dormitory-area network is a paid service. The fee is 20 RMB per cycle (one cycle is 30 days). When your account balance is 20 RMB or more, the network is activated automatically. The first cycle starts at the time you first log in from the dormitory area. Each 30-day cycle is then settled automatically, and the fee is deducted at the same time of day on the settlement day. Use of less than one full cycle is also charged at 20 RMB. When your account balance is below 20 RMB, the dormitory-area network cannot be activated, and you will see an arrears message when you log in.

1. Cycle 1: you start using the network (the first dormitory-area login). The fee is 20 RMB for 30 days.
2. At the end of the first 30 days, the settlement day, 20 RMB is deducted and cycle 2 begins on the same day (30 days, 20 RMB).
3. At the end of cycle 2, the settlement day, 20 RMB is deducted.
4. If you do not use the network after settlement, nothing is charged.
5. The day you next start using the network begins a new cycle (30 days, 20 RMB), which is settled on its 30th day. If you do not use the network afterward, nothing is charged.

Billing rule shown in the image: the dormitory-area campus network is billed by cycle, with 30 days counted as one month (not a calendar month). The first cycle starts on your first dormitory-area login, and the system settles and deducts the fee automatically when each 30-day cycle ends. After a cycle ends, if you do not use the network, no further fee is charged; a new cycle starts the next time you use it.

How to Pay

• Phone: 企业微信 → 工作台 → 校园网 → 网络缴费. 我的账户 shows your balance.
• Web: 缴费平台 (cwsf.whut.edu.cn, works on and off campus). This page has an English switch (英文English, top of the page). Click 统一身份认证登录 and sign in with Smart WUT(智慧理工大), choose 网络使用费 (network fee; “NetFee” in English), enter your 上网账号 (campus network account, which is your campus card number) and 缴费金额 (amount), then click 去结算 (check out).
• To check your balance and billing history, open 武汉理工大学自助服务平台 (selfaaa.whut.edu.cn, campus network only; you can open it before signing in to the network) → 我的账户: 余额 (balance), 待结算金额 (amount due at the next settlement), 资金明细 (payment history), 结算清单 (billing statements).

The attachment (in Chinese) lists all payment methods. If a payment has already gone through, do not pay again.
