Most university systems are in Chinese only. Our guides keep every system name, menu item and button in Chinese, exactly as it appears on screen, so that you can match the characters. This page explains those names in one place. Systems that have an English switch are marked below.
1. Your Account

| Smart WUT(智慧理工大) | The university's online portal (zhlgd.whut.edu.cn). One account signs you in to almost every system on this page. |
| 统一身份认证 | The shared sign-in page. It opens whenever a system asks you to sign in. It has an “English” link at the top, but the hints below the form stay in Chinese. |
| 账号登录 / 用户名 / 密码 / 立即登录 | Sign in with an account / account / password / sign in. |
| 登录账号 | The account you sign in with. The page accepts any of these: 学工号 (student or staff number), 校园卡号 (campus card number), 手机号 (mobile number), 身份证号 (ID number). |
| 初始密码 | Initial password: Whut@ followed by the last 6 characters of the ID document you registered with. If they contain the letter X, type it in upper case. |
| 忘记密码 | Forgot password. On the next page, enter your 登录账号 (教师工号/学生学号: staff or student number), keep 信息类型 (verification method) as 手机 (mobile), type the 验证码 (picture code), then click 下一步 (next). A new password here also becomes your campus network and VPN password. |
International students of 国教学院 (School of International Education) receive their account and password from its international student office.
2. 办事大厅: Online Applications

Menus: 在线管理 → 我的在线 (devices online now; 下线 signs a device out) and 无感知认证 (devices that sign in automatically); 我的账户 → 余额 (balance), 待结算金额 (amount due at the next settlement), 资金明细 (payment history), 结算清单 (billing statements), 去充值 (top up). |
| 缴费平台 | Payment platform (cwsf.whut.edu.cn). Has an English switch (英文English, top of the page). Click 统一身份认证登录, choose 网络使用费 (network fee; “NetFee” in English), fill in 上网账号 and 缴费金额 (amount), then click 去结算 (check out). |
| 网络报修 / 信服魔方 | Network fault reporting (gdbx.whut.edu.cn, also 企业微信 → 工作台 → 网络报修). Click 创建工单 (create a ticket). Required fields are marked *: 联系电话 (phone), 报修问题类别 (有线网 wired / 无线网 wireless), 报修区域 (campus area), 详细地点 (exact location), 问题描述 (short description). Optional: 详细地点补充说明 (more about the location), 详细问题描述 (more about the problem), 附件 (attachment). Then click 提交. 5. VPN

6. Email

| 武汉理工大学邮件服务系统 | The university mailbox (mail.whut.edu.cn). The sign-in page is Chinese only: 用户名 (the part of your address before @whut.edu.cn), 密 码 (password), 忘记密码? (forgot password). After you sign in, click English at the top to switch the mailbox to English. You can also open it without a password from 办事大厅 → 个人自助邮箱申请 → 进入邮箱. |
7. Campus Card

| 校园卡 / 一卡通 | Campus card. Both names are used. |
| 校园卡综合服务 | The campus card web platform (yktapp.whut.edu.cn), opened from Smart WUT(智慧理工大). It has the same tools as 企业微信 → 工作台 → 校园卡, with slightly different names: 挂失·解挂 (works only on a phone screen), 修改查询密码, 账单, 校园卡充值. |
| 查询密码 | Query password, 6 digits. Used online and to cancel a loss report at a self-service machine. |
| 消费密码 | Payment password. It can only be changed at a 圈存机. |
| 圈存机 | Self-service machine on campus for topping up the card and changing its passwords. |
