To advance the intelligent upgrade of teaching, research and administrative services, the university has opened trial applications for API Keys for the DeepSeek large language model, in both the public cloud version and the local version. Through this API, you can integrate the capabilities of the model into teaching applications, research tools and management systems, which improves work efficiency and innovation.

1. Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a current faculty or staff member of the university, and the application must be submitted in the name of the applicant's unit.
  2. The project must have a clear application scenario, and its main goal must be to promote smart campus construction.
  3. The applicant must fully understand and promise to follow the university's data security regulations.

2. Application Procedure

  1. Sign in to Smart WUT(智慧理工大), open 办事大厅 → 服务列表 → 网络中心 → 大模型APIKEY使用申请 and fill it in completely. State in detail the purpose of use, whether you need the public cloud version or the local version, and the specific application scenario.
  2. After you submit the application, the head of your department must review and approve it.
  3. After department approval, the application goes to the head of the 信息化办 (the university's informatization office) for approval.
  4. After the 信息化办 approves it, the application goes to the head of the Network Center for final approval.
  5. After all approvals are complete, the DeepSeek administrator of the Network Center will complete the technical review within 3 business days and provide the applicant with the API Key and the relevant user guide.

3. Usage Quota

During the trial period, each API Key is valid for 30 days. When it expires, you must submit an extension application to continue using the service.

4. Notes

  • The API Key is the only credential for accessing the model service. Keep it safe and do not let it leak.
  • Do not use the API Key for any commercial purpose or lend it to others.
  • Do not upload or process sensitive personal information of students or faculty and staff.
  • The university reserves the right to terminate the service in case of violations.
  • Because resources are limited, the Network Center will adjust or suspend the API service according to load when needed. We will notify users in advance so that they can prepare.
  • The trial is currently free. This may change later depending on actual conditions and the requirements of the public cloud service provider.
