Wuhan University of Technology Wins Multiple Awards at the 2nd Regional Application Innovation Competition for Educational Information Technology (Central China Region)
The 2nd Regional Competition of the Application Innovation Contest for Educational Information Technology (Central China Region) was held in Wuhan on September 20, 2025. Organized by the China Educational Technology Association (CETA) and co-hosted by Zhejiang University and the CETA Special Committee on Cybersecurity, the competition focuses on enhancing universities’ capabilities in applying information technology, deepening industry-education integration, and serving both holistic human development and the digital economy.
Wuhan University of Technology participated in the Case Track of the Application Innovation Contest for Educational Information Technology. Our team successfully advanced from a competitive pool of regional entries, securing one First Prize and two Second Prizes in the Central China Region — qualifying for the National Finals.

Building a Strong Cybersecurity Barrier with Domestically Developed and Controllable Technologies, Wuhan University of Technology is comprehensively advancing domestic substitution and systematically enhancing the IT team's Xinchuang skills and application levels. The Network Information Center has formed three Xinchuang teams to participate in the competition. Taking the competition case, "Comprehensive Data Resource System for the IT Department," as an example, the system is built on full-stack Xinchuang technology and serves multiple campuses as a unified data resource platform. By leveraging technologies such as traffic collection, AI-powered anomaly detection, and lightweight digital twin visualization, it effectively addresses industry challenges such as "invisible application experiences, difficulty in scheduling sudden traffic spikes, and delayed responses to security threats." This enhances the value of the "Network as a Service" (NaaS) digital foundation in education, demonstrating the application and achievements of our school's Xinchuang technology.

In the future, Wuhan University of Technology will continue to expand the depth and breadth of Xinchuang and domestic substitution, constantly pioneer new scenarios, and refine new experiences. This will make digital management services readily accessible, comprehensively empowering faculty and students, enhancing governance, and bolstering Wuhan University of Technology's high-quality development.
