On the morning of June 13, Zhang Jun, Vice President of Wuhan Technology and Business University, led a delegation to our university for a special research on the informatization construction of education and teaching. Wang Jian, Director of the Digital Resource Center and Deputy Dean of the Undergraduate School, Xiang Jianwen, Director of the Network and Information Center, Huang Shiyong, Deputy Director of the Network and Information Center, as well as persons in charge of relevant business departments participated in the research.

The research delegation first conducted an on-site investigation of the public multimedia classrooms in the Main Boxue Building and North Boxue Building of the Nanhu Campus. Accompanied by Huang Shiyong, they were given a detailed introduction to the construction of smart classrooms at our university. Subsequently, a symposium was held in Smart Classroom 105, West Boxue Building.

Xiang Jianwen extended a warm welcome to Vice President Zhang Jun and his entourage. He expressed his expectation that the two universities would further deepen collaborative innovation in the field of educational informatization through this exchange on the basis of their existing sound cooperation.

Zhang Jun expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of the achievements made in the innovative practices of informatized teaching environment construction at our university in recent years. He looked forward to continued enhanced exchanges and interactions between the two universities.

Huang Shiyong reported on the operation mechanism, construction status, operation situation and industry-education integration of the smart classroom construction. Wang Jian introduced matters related to smart teaching. The two sides held discussions and exchanges on infrastructure construction, teaching research and management, information security and other aspects.


Finally, Xiang Jianwen presented the monograph Striving for a Model University of Digital Transformation – Exploration and Practice of Wuhan University of Technology, edited by President Yang Zongkai, to the research delegation.
